Veteran adventurers must navigate the conflicting interests of those who wish to contain the threat and those who seek to harness it, all while confronting the very nature of 'cure' and 'catastrophe'.

Chronicle Prelude

The fortified logging town of Pineholme, a bastion against the wilds, now under siege. Sawmills are silent, barricades are hastily erected, and the air is thick with fear and the distant, echoing cries of beasts that were once natural. The town square is dominated by a tense standoff between local militia and a faction of robed alchemists.

Environmental Traits
