This poison has mutated the resident myconid symbiote colony, birthing a raging, spore-bursting Behemoth. The fungal network is now a volatile, hostile biome. Two desperate groups seek to end the crisis, but their methods are incompatible, forcing you to navigate a labyrinth of desperation, decay, and moral compromise.

Chronicle Prelude

The Vine-Harrow Homestead: A struggling farming community built over the sealed entrance to the Deep-Root Cellar. The ground trembles, and a sickly, sweet-sour odor wafts up. The vintners, known as the Verdant Consortium, are pale with guilt and fear. The cellar, once a place of quiet fungal harvest, now pulsates with a malevolent, bioluminescent glow.

Environmental Traits

A cascading ecological catastrophe. The myconid Behemoth grows stronger with each pulse, its spores threatening to erupt through the surface and poison the region's aquifer. The earth itself is rejecting the contamination, causing sinkholes and releasing pockets of toxic gas. The crisis must be stopped at its source, deep within the mutated fungal heart.

The Myconid Behemoth
A colossal, tortured fungal titan fused to the root system of an ancient, dead tree. Its body is a cathedral of pulsating, bioluminescent flesh and toxic spore sacs. An aura of visible, greenish contamination hangs around it, wilting everything it touches. Its many eyes weep a corrosive ichor.
Symbiote Refugee
A small, wounded myconid with patches of healthy, blue-white fungus fighting against invasive, toxic red-orange growths. It trembles and hides in alcoves, its light flickering weakly.
