The Frost Geckos, once symbiotic guardians, have mutated into ravenous, ice-shelled predators. Two groups now vie for control of what remains: one seeking to restore the crystals' heat to save their dying homeland, the other believing the crystals must be destroyed to prevent a greater magical catastrophe they have foreseen.

Chronicle Prelude

The players arrive at the Frostbite Outpost, a ramshackle collection of heated tents and salvage operations on the cavern's lip. The air is bitter, the ground is treacherous ice, and the outpost is filled with anxious salvage crews and hardy mercenaries from both the Emberheart Cartel and the Frost Wardens. Rumors of a 'Core Regulator' deep within the caverns offer a glimmer of hope, but the path is fraught with danger and competing interests.

Environmental Traits

The Ice-Crystal Caverns are destabilizing. If the discarded Thermal Crystals cannot be reactivated or the Core Regulator reached, the entire region will succumb to an eternal, magical frost, killing all life. The players are caught in the middle of a desperate scramble for survival.
