The Iron Chasm Collapse
The deep crystal mines of Kazgoroth have fallen silent. The last transmission from the Rushing Engineers' expedition spoke of 'constructs gone mad' and 'overload chips in the walls.' Now, the surface city of Ironholde faces a crisis: the magical crystals that power their forges and wards are cut off. Two desperate groups claim the right to retake the mines—the industrious Rushing Engineers who built the place, and the Gloomwardens, Underdark refugees who fled to the mines for sanctuary. Both need the crystals to survive. Both blame the other for the catastrophe. You are the blade that must cut through the chaos, but every cut bleeds someone's future.
Chronicle Prelude
The surface staging camp at the mouth of the Kazgoroth Mine, a chaotic assemblage of tents, broken machinery, and arguing foremen. The air smells of ozone, sulfur, and desperation. The mine's great blast doors are shattered, leaking a faint, eerie green light from within.
Environmental Traits
A catastrophic cascade failure has turned the mine's security constructs hostile and destabilized the very crystal veins, risking a chain-reaction that could collapse the entire Underdark region. The mine must be stabilized or sealed forever.
