The Midnight Time-Loop of Foglight Pier
The coastal settlement of Foglight Pier is trapped in a 24-hour temporal anomaly, resetting each midnight. The players, immune to the loop, must unravel the cause: the missing 'Reversal Chronometer,' stolen from the town's enigmatic Watchmaker. As the loop continues, reality itself begins to fray, revealing that two desperate factions—one seeking to preserve the loop for salvation, the other to break it at any cost—will force the players into a choice with no clean answer. Veterans will navigate a web of paranoia, decaying physics, and the question of which broken timeline is worth saving.
Chronicle Prelude
The players arrive at Foglight Pier as outsiders, unaffected by the loop. The harbor is eerily silent at dusk, with townsfolk going about pre-scripted routines, unaware of the repetition. The lighthouse beam sweeps the fog, and the scent of brine and ozone hangs heavy. The Watchmaker's shop stands open, its master missing, a note on the counter reading: 'It was for the best. They must not remember the first night.'
Environmental Traits
The temporal rift is destabilizing: random 'echoes' of past/future events manifest as hostile temporal anomalies, and the physical world is beginning to loop sections of itself. The Watchmaker, presumed dead, is the key. The Reversal Chronometer, if found and activated, can either permanently stabilize the loop (trapping everyone) or shatter it, erasing the loop and all memories of it—including the desperate acts committed within.
