The Miniature Legion Rampage
A catastrophic arcane experiment has reduced a legion of soldiers to thumb-sized warriors, now waging a devastating microscopic war across a sprawling, cursed sandbox. The players are hired by one faction to contain the disaster, but they will discover that both sides have legitimate, desperate claims to survival. The battlefield itself is a treacherous environment where a single misstep can mean being trampled by giants or caught in a crossfire of tiny, lethal arrows.
Chronicle Prelude
The Grand Arcanum, a towering citadel of learning and magical experimentation, now sits at the edge of a colossal, cursed sandbox—the former training grounds of the now-shrunken Iron Legion. The air hums with residual transmutation magic, and the ground shifts like living sand. Haggard arcanists and desperate soldiers from the still-human-sized command staff mill about, trying to understand and contain the catastrophe.
Environmental Traits
The Arcane Reduction Potion, spilled during the Commander's desperate ritual, has not only shrunk the Iron Legion but has destabilized the very fabric of the sandbox battlefield. The microscopic war rages on, and its magical fallout is causing the sandbox to slowly expand, threatening to engulf the Grand Arcanum and the surrounding countryside. The victory condition is to navigate the treacherous, miniature warzone, uncover the truth of the accident, and find a way to either restore the legion, end them humanely, or broker a fragile peace before the expanding chaos consumes everything.
