The Phantasm Floral Sea is a cursed, ever-shifting meadow where reality bends like heat haze. Giant bees, their stingers dripping with mutagenic venom, swarm in frenzy. The cause: the Florist, a reclusive druid, cultivates Mutant Aggravation Pollen to 'heal' the land's decay, but the pollen drives all insects mad. The Beekeepers, a desperate commune, see only the slaughter of their sacred hives and the death of their children from venomous stings. Veterans, you are caught in the middle. The pollen holds a cure for the Rotplague sweeping the southern kingdoms, but the Florist's methods will unleash an insect apocalypse upon the world. Choose who to aid, or who to destroy. The land itself is screaming.
Chronicle Prelude
You stand at the edge of the Bloom, a place of sickly-sweet beauty and constant, low hum. Before you lies the safe haven of Apiary's Rest, a walled commune of beekeepers and their symbiotic, docile giant bees. The air is thick with the scent of honey and fear. Smoke from smudge pots drifts over the palisades, a temporary reprieve from the frenzied swarms that patrol the outer glades.
Environmental Traits
The crisis is a biological and magical cataclysm. The Mutant Aggravation Pollen, cultivated by the Florist in the heart of the Bloom, is driving every insect into a murderous frenzy. The Beekeepers' bees, once gentle, now attack their keepers. The Florist believes the pollen is the only way to force a rapid, painful evolution in the flora to combat a greater, encroaching Rotplague—a grey, petrifying decay that turns soil to ash and living things to stone. The player's victory condition is to reach the core of the Bloom and resolve the source: either by destroying the Florist's Pollen Grove, allying with the Florist to refine the cure, or finding a third, hidden option that condemns both sides to a lesser fate.
