The Reckoning of the Blood-Soaked Bracers
A thousand years ago, the Minotaur-King Asterion was betrayed and entombed in the heart of his own blood-soaked arena. Now, the seals weaken. The 'Bracers of the Champion,' relics thought to contain his essence, have resurfaced—but they are cracked, leaking primordial fury. Two desperate factions seek the Bracers: one to destroy them and end the threat forever, the other to use them to enslave the Minotaur and reclaim lost glory. The players are caught in the center, navigating a crumbling ruin where every shadow holds a bull-headed ghost and every choice sharpens the blade of fate.
Chronicle Prelude
The players arrive at the fortified frontier town of 'Arena's Gate,' built on the outer walls of the colossal, overgrown ruins of the 'Labyrinthine Arena.' The town is tense, split between the 'Veridian Wardens' who preach caution and sealing, and the 'Crimson Legionnaires' who advocate for bold action and control. Whispers of a monstrous roar from the deep echo nightly.
Environmental Traits
The Minotaur's rage is seeping into the land, causing bestial mutations in wildlife and warping the very stone of the ruins. The ultimate goal is to reach the 'Heart of the Labyrinth'—the Minotaur's sanctum—before the Bracers shatter completely, unleashing an unbound rage-incarnate. Players must navigate the political schism, the physical ruins, and their own moral compass to decide the fate of the Champion's soul.
