The Shaman's Tide and the Anvil's Forge
Beneath the shimmering waves of Seamist Reef, a primordial shamanic ritual stirs the sea itself. The Merfolk of the Coral Spires sense the tremors of a submarine volcano waking, interpreting it as either a divine cleansing or a cataclysmic rebirth. On the surface, the Dwarven Forge-Warden enclave on the isle of Anvil's Rest sees the same geological signs—and they see an untapped source of primordial magma for their grandest creation. You are caught between the tide and the forge, where both sides believe their path is salvation, and the other's is doom.
Chronicle Prelude
The bustling, storm-scarred port town of Galesreach, perched on the volcanic island of Anvil's Rest. Smelters glow on the cliffs, and Dwarven engineers argue with anxious Merfolk traders about the worsening tremors. The air smells of salt, sulfur, and desperation.
Environmental Traits
The submarine volcano, Mount Vashra, is on the verge of a catastrophic eruption. The Merfolk Shaman, Keth-ra, is conducting a ritual in the deep reef to seal the vent and preserve the ancient ecosystem. The Dwarven Forge-Wardens, led by Forge-Master Torvund, are building a geothermal siphon to harness the eruption's power for their legendary Great Work—a city-scale automaton. Your actions will decide the fate of the reef, the island, and which vision of the future prevails.
