The Stolen Gale: A War of Stone and Sky
Veteran adventurers, the elemental balance of the Granite Peaks is shattering. A war brews between the earthbound Pech tribes, driven to desperation by ecological collapse, and the ascendant Sky Elemental Lord, whose stolen Wind-Control Stone has unleashed chaos upon the skies. You are thrust into a conflict where both sides believe they are fighting for survival. Your choices will determine which element—Earth or Air—reigns supreme, or if a third, more treacherous path can be forged. There are no easy answers in this war of stone and wind.
Chronicle Prelude
The campaign begins in the neutral, precarious settlement of 'Wind-Shorn Outpost', a cluster of fortified buildings clinging to a high mountain ledge. It serves as a last bastion of civilization between the crumbling lower peaks and the upper, storm-wracked heights. Here, refugees from both the Pech tunnels and the displaced air-tribes mingle, sharing rumors of the stolen Wind-Control Stone and the escalating elemental war.
Environmental Traits
The region is destabilizing. Without the Wind-Control Stone, the Sky Elemental Lord cannot maintain stable weather patterns, causing violent, unnatural storms and killing his air-nymph servants. Simultaneously, the Pech, a subterranean earth-elemental race, have seen their crystal-caverns collapse due to the sky's wrath, forcing them to the surface in a desperate, hostile migration. The land itself is tearing apart between these two elemental extremes.
