The elemental planes bleed into the material world, causing unpredictable and destructive surges. The Genasi, a people born of elemental blood, are blamed and hunted by the desperate populace. In response, a faction of Genasi has risen in rebellion, seeking to either control the Altar's power for their own survival or destroy it entirely to end their persecution. The party is caught in the middle, navigating a land where the very elements are unstable and both sides commit atrocities for what they believe is just.

Chronicle Prelude

The characters arrive in the fortified town of Haver's Rest, a bastion of normalcy amidst growing elemental chaos. Smoke rises from distant farms scorched by fire surges, and the town guard is overwhelmed. The air is tense, with accusations flying against the Genasi quarter.

Environmental Traits

The regional crisis is the accelerating elemental bleed from the Primal Altar. If unchecked, it will either transform the entire region into a chaotic elemental wasteland or cause a catastrophic planar breach. The victory condition is to resolve the conflict at the Altar's core, choosing which faction's vision for the future—or a third, desperate path—will prevail.
