The air carries the scent of dust and ozone, a sharp tang layered over the musty smell of old parchment. A low, resonant hum emanates from the central dais, where a glowing chronicle sphere floats. Three visual markers dominate: the intricate, sequential glyph-ink on an open contract scroll; the cracked, moonlit face of a large, wall-mounted sand-glass; and the swirling, opaque surface of a divination pool across the hall.
