At the annual Valentine's Gala within the confines of Rosewood Estate, the host is discovered deceased in the glass-walled conservatory. An investigation begins into the circumstances surrounding the event, the network of professional relationships, and the physical evidence left within the estate's rooms.
Initial Crime Scene
The first breath inside the estate carries the dry, sweet scent of old paper and beeswax polish. Your footstep echoes on the polished parquet, a sound quickly swallowed by the thick silence. Directly ahead, a mahogany sideboard displays a crystal decanter, its base resting in a fresh, circular water-ring stain on the wood. To your left, a grandfather clock's brass pendulum swings in a measured arc, catching the firelight. On the floor, a faint, rectangular shadow falls across the carpet from a door left slightly ajar.
Crime Scene Environment
The primary illumination is from low, flickering fireplaces and scattered table lamps, creating pools of warm, amber light interspersed with deep shadow. The ambient air is dry, carrying a persistent chill despite the fires. Acoustic density is low; sounds are muffled by heavy drapes, carpeting, and the sheer mass of the estate, rendering footsteps and distant voices distinct yet unclear.
