The Aurora's Silence
The celestial auroras that have blessed the Silvanesti Glades for millennia are dying. The Aurora Dais, a sacred elven site, pulses with a sickly, draining light, and the ancient observatory built to study it has gone silent. Whispers speak of a beast born from the dying light, but the truth is far more complex. Veteran adventurers are called not to slay a simple monster, but to navigate a schism between elven traditionalists and desperate innovators, where the 'beast' is a symptom, not the cause. The fate of a dying miracle hangs on choices made in shadowed halls and shattered crystals.
Chronicle Prelude
The Players arrive at the Twilight Glade, a neutral elven settlement on the periphery of the afflicted Silvanesti Glades. The air hums with a low, mournful thrum. The auroras in the sky are pale and flickering. Refugees from the inner glades speak of a 'Siphon Beast' that drains light and life, while scholarly elves from the distant Observatory have sent urgent, conflicting pleas for aid.
Environmental Traits
The Aurora Dais, the source of the region's magical aurora, is being systematically drained by a parasitic magical phenomenon. If left unchecked, it will extinguish forever, plunging the Silvanesti into permanent twilight and unleashing the corrupted magic it once stabilized. The ultimate goal is to reach the heart of the Dais, inside the Observatory, and choose how to resolve the catastrophic drain.
