The Brass Ruins: Scorpion's Heart
In the sun-scorched wastes, the colossal brass scorpion has stirred. For centuries it lay dormant, a relic of a fallen empire's war machines. Now, its re-charging threatens to awaken not just the ruin, but the vengeful consciousness of its creators—the Brass Legion. Two desperate factions race to reach its Activation Core. The desert-hardened Ashwalkers seek to claim the scorpion as a weapon to defend their dying homeland from encroaching empires. The scholarly Archivists of the Silent Archive wish to study and contain it, fearing its activation will unmake the delicate magical balance of the region. Both have legitimate claims to survival. You stand at the crossroads, and every choice will be written in rust and blood.
Chronicle Prelude
The bustling, neutral oasis-town of Reliquary, built around a cooling geyser, serves as the last bastion of civilization before the Brass Ruins. Here, representatives of both factions plead their case, and the desert air hums with a low, mechanical thrum from the horizon.
