The Cobweb Mines of Darkiron
Deep beneath the jagged peaks of Darkiron Mountain lies a labyrinth of abandoned mines, now choked with unnatural cobwebs and the whisper of forgotten wealth. The Dwarven Diadem of Stoneheart, a symbol of unity and lost glory, is rumored to be entombed in the deepest shaft. Two desperate factions clash over its retrieval: one seeking to restore a shattered lineage, the other to harness its power for a doomed population. The mines are a trap of shadow and silk, where every step could be your last and every choice carries the weight of a mountain.
Chronicle Prelude
The campaign begins in the fortified mining outpost of Stoneheart's Last Stand, a windswept plateau at the base of Darkiron Mountain. Crumbling dwarven watchtowers overlook the gaping maw of the main mine shaft, now barricaded with heavy timbers and warning sigils. The air is thick with the smell of wet stone and old fear.
Environmental Traits
The Dwarven Diadem of Stoneheart, an artifact of immense cultural and potential arcane power, is lost within the cobweb-infested depths of the Darkiron mines. Its recovery could either heal a broken people or unleash a cataclysmic magical backlash. The mountain itself seems alive, its passages shifting and its guardians—both natural and supernatural—growing more hostile the deeper one ventures.
