Chronicle Prelude

The surface settlement of Stonefall Outpost, a grim mining town built on the edge of a massive, lightless fissure. The air smells of ozone and decay, and the constant, distant chittering of the swarm echoes from below. The town is divided between the pragmatic, scarred miners and the desperate, nature-worshipping druids who claim the fissure is a wound in the world.

Environmental Traits

The Underdark fissure itself, a multi-layered geological nightmare. The immediate crisis is the Prowler Swarm, but the true conflict is over the source: the Heartstone Cavern, where the last functional warded rune circle still pulses with restraining magic.
