The Drowned Pearl: Coil of the Serpent-King
You wash ashore on the jagged, mist-shrouded isle known to sailors as Serpent's Coil, a place where the sea itself seems to breathe and ancient, coiling shadows move beneath the waves. The island's heart holds the 'Drowned Pearl,' a source of immense, unnatural power and wealth, but it is guarded by a legion of fanatical cultists and the very leviathans they worship. Two desperate factions wage a silent war here: one seeks to harvest the Pearl to save their dying homeland, the other aims to contain its corruption at any cost. Your choices will determine who drowns, who survives, and what monstrosity the world will face next.
Chronicle Prelude
The survivors' camp on Stormbreak Beach, a precarious strip of black sand littered with the wreckage of failed expeditions. The air is thick with brine, fear, and the low, rhythmic chanting from the jungle-cloaked interior. The camp is a tense, temporary alliance of scavengers, stranded sailors, and desperate mercenaries from two opposing crews, all eyeing each other over sputtering cookfires.
Environmental Traits
The entire island is a living trap, warped by the Pearl's influence. The goal is to reach the Pearl Chamber in the island's deepest cavern, decide its fate, and escape the ensuing wrath of the sea or the island's collapse. The environment itself is hostile: razor-sharp coral forests, kelp-choked trenches, and areas where gravity and air pressure shift unnaturally.
