The Gilded Pasture is dying. A cursed, discordant melody echoes from the ruined Shepherd's Flute, agitating the magically-infused giant sheep into a perpetual, land-scouring stampede. The Shepherds of the Old Verse seek to silence the Flute forever, believing it a corrupted relic. The Cultivators of the New Chord insist the Flute's true, lost song can harmonize the flock and save the land from encroaching blight. Both factions are desperate; only the melody holds the key to salvation or final ruin.
Chronicle Prelude
You arrive in the besieged frontier hamlet of Woolhaven, its timber walls perpetually shaking from the distant thunder of hooves. The air is thick with dust and the faint, maddening whisper of the dissonant flute melody on the wind.
Environmental Traits
The Gilded Pasture, once a verdant expanse of luminous grasses, is now a war-torn wasteland being crushed under the hooves of crazed, giant woolly sheep. A creeping Blight, born of the land's agony, seeps from the cracks in the earth. The source of all this chaos is the buried Heartstone Warren, where the cursed Flute plays.
