Whispers speak of secret letters hidden behind the canvases—confessions, blackmail, and truths that could topple the current regime. The Curator's Archive and the Revisionist Order both seek these letters, but for vastly different reasons. Your investigation will pull you into a labyrinth of memory, betrayal, and the dangerous power of a curated past.

Chronicle Prelude

The Grand Vestibule: The party stands in the echoing marble entryway of the Gallery of History, surrounded by the first hall of benign civic portraits. The air is thick with the scent of old oil paint and political tension. Two distinct groups eye each other from opposite ends of the hall: the stately Curator's Archive in their archival robes, and the cloaked Revisionist Order, their hoods drawn low.

Environmental Traits

The city's stability hinges on the secret letters behind the portraits. The Curator's Archive seeks to preserve them to maintain order, fearing the chaos that truth would unleash. The Revisionist Order seeks to expose them to tear down a corrupt oligarchy. The player's choices will determine whether history is preserved, rewritten, or burned entirely.
