The players are trapped in the outer bastion, a crumbling frontier town, caught between two desperate factions: the Verdant Wardens, who believe the bees are a natural plague to be purged with fire, and the Hivebound Accord, who revere the swarm as sacred stewards of the land and blame outsiders for the theft. The truth is a poison of lies on both sides. To escape, the players must navigate the hostile wilderness, delve into the heart of the living Apiary, and decide whose 'salvation' is worth the cost of another's extinction.

Chronicle Prelude

The players arrive at, or are already present in, the fortified outer town of 'Thornwall Bastion,' now under a tense, nervous lockdown. The air hums with a distant, oppressive drone. Supplies are rationing, and the once-bustling trade road is choked with thorny, honey-encrusted vines. The local tavern, 'The Sticky Goblet,' is a powder keg of fear and blame, serving as the initial hub for gathering rumors and meeting faction representatives.

Environmental Traits

The macro-crisis is the 'Great Blockade': the giant bee swarm has sealed the Apiary's territory and is slowly, aggressively expanding its hive-material outward, consuming the borderlands. The ultimate victory condition is to penetrate the Inner Sanctum of the Queen's Hive, discover the true nature of the stolen Tracker from the Queen's Collar, and make a decisive choice that will either shatter the blockade or irrevocably transform it.
