Two desperate factions seek the mirrors: the Coral Wardens, who believe the mirrors can cleanse the reef and restore the bay's fishing grounds, and the Mirrorborn, a cult that worships the petrification as a sacred transformation and seeks the mirrors to amplify their medusa patron's power. The truth, etched in shipwreck logs, is far more complex.

Chronicle Prelude

The coastal town of Saltmere, a weathered settlement of fishermen and scavengers on the edge of Red Coral Bay. Nets hang from rotting docks, and the air smells of brine and fear. The townsfolk are divided, with some supporting the Wardens' hope for restoration and others whispering of the Mirrorborn's promises of transcendence.
