Deep beneath the Spine of the World, a legendary Mithril Vault, sealed by ancient Sentry Stone Idols and anti-theft deadlocks, has been discovered. Two desperate factions—the resource-starved Forgehammers and the preservationist Loreweavers—race to claim its contents. A rogue's forged signet ring, stolen from a historical artifact, has become the key to bypassing the first layer of security, but its use may trigger catastrophic magical backlash. Veteran players will navigate a web of lies, desperation, and ancient magic where every choice carries irreversible weight.

Chronicle Prelude

The campaign begins in the neutral Underdark settlement of Glimmerfang, a cavern-city lit by phosphorescent fungi and powered by geothermal vents. It's a tense marketplace of surface traders, duergar merchants, and svirfneblin refugees, all whispering about the Mithril Vault. The air smells of ozone, wet stone, and simmering ambition.

Environmental Traits

The region is in ecological and economic crisis. A creeping magical blight, the 'Rusthaze,' is corroding all worked metals and magic, threatening total civilizational collapse. The Mithril Vault is rumored to hold a Mithril Resonator, an artifact capable of purifying the blight, but also containing a weaponizable anti-magic field.

Assador Blighthaze

A voice that emanates from the very walls and energy strands of the Mithril Vault Core. It is calm, logical, and utterly without emotion. Glyphs and diagrams flash across the surface of the anti-theft web in response to queries, presenting complex logical and temporal puzzles.
Forgehammer Enforcers
A squad of four grim-faced duergar soldiers in heavy, practical armor. They move with coordinated discipline, their eyes hard and their hands resting on their weapons. They wear the Forgehammer's anvil sigil on their tabards and radiate hostility toward anyone wearing Loreweaver colors.
