The annual Beast-Taming Festival in the floating city of Skyspire is a spectacle of bond and spectacle, but this year it descended into chaos. A prized pegasus chariot, carrying a shipment of potent Sobriety Elixirs meant to tame the festival's most unstable magical beasts, was hijacked by desperate tamers who swapped the elixirs for a volatile arcane catalyst. The runaway chariot now threatens to crash into the volatile Beast Pens, risking mass casualties and the release of half-tamed monsters. The players, caught in the aftermath, must navigate a city in panic, uncover the truth behind the swap, and choose whose desperate cause to champion before the chariot completes its fatal arc.

Chronicle Prelude

The Skydocks of Skyspire, a chaotic hub of grounded airships and panicked nobles. The smell of ozone and beast musk hangs in the air. Festival banners are torn, and terrified tamers are trying to corral spooked creatures. The runaway chariot is visible as a distant, gleaming speck trailing smoke, on a slow, spiraling descent towards the central Beast Pens below the city's floating plate.

Environmental Traits

The runaway pegasus chariot is on a collision course with the volatile Beast Pens. If it crashes, the impact will shatter containment wards, releasing a menagerie of confused, magically-enhanced beasts into the floating city and the surface world below. The players must stop the crash, uncover the conspiracy behind the elixir swap, and decide the fate of the desperate tamers and the powerful factions vying for control.
