The ancient drow gravity-rail network, powered by attuned Gravitational Fine-Tuning Crystals, has collapsed. The cause: reckless gold-mining by a goblinoid clan shattered the core resonance crystals, warping local physics into lethal inversions. Now, two desperate factions vie for control of the remaining intact crystals—one to restore the vital trade route, the other to weaponize the instability. You are spelunkers trapped in the ensuing chaos, where every step could be your last as the very ground beneath you decides which way is 'down'.

Chronicle Prelude

The Shattered Terminus: The remnants of a drow rail station, now a makeshift camp for survivors. Gravity here is momentarily stable, but the air hums with discordant resonance. Broken rail-cars hang at unnatural angles, and the distant, chaotic sounds of shifting gravity echo from the deep tunnels.

Environmental Traits

The entire Underdark region's gravitational field is destabilizing. If the core crystal array is not realigned or destroyed, cascading rifts will tear the cavern system apart, threatening both surface and deep settlements. Victory means either restoring the old order or embracing a terrifying new paradigm.

A grotesquely large spider with an iridescent carapace that flickers and phases in and out of visibility. Its legs are jointed in unnatural ways, and it tethers itself to stable surfaces with shimmering silk strands to navigate the chaotic gravity.
Core Echo
A shimmering, semi-corporeal wave of psychic energy that distorts vision and sound. At times, it coalesces into a towering, featureless humanoid form of pure gravitational force, causing nearby debris to orbit it.
