The Sprouting Schism
The fertile plains of Harvest Farm are choking. To the north, the militant Growth Activists of the Verdant Covenant perform violent 'over-spraying' rituals, flooding the soil with potent, chaotic druidic magic that accelerates growth to monstrous, unsustainable levels. To the south, the pragmatic Vegetable Farmers of the Rootstock Collective, facing ruin, have begun animating and expelling their scarecrows—now twisted, hateful guardians—to violently purge the corrupted flora and anything else that moves. Caught between these two desperate factions, the party must navigate a landscape where life itself is the weapon, and the choice is not between good and evil, but between two visions of survival.
Chronicle Prelude
The fortified market town of Verdant's Rest, a neutral but strained hub at the center of the conflict. Its walls are lined with both praying farmers and suspicious activists. The air smells of ozone, wet earth, and tension. Here, the party can gather information, take sides, or attempt to find a third way.
Environmental Traits
The entire region is a magical battleground. The Growth Activists' 'Over-Spray' has created the Blooming Mire, a zone of explosive, carnivorous flora and warped wildlife. The Farmers' Animated Scourge patrols the southern fields, a relentless force of straw and malice. The ultimate goal is to reach the heart of the conflict—the source of the druidic ritual and the animating forge—and decide the fate of Harvest Farm.
