The Static Wastes of Stormcliff
The air crackles with unspent lightning. The once-mighty Dwarven Power Foundry of Stormcliff lies in catastrophic overload, its arcane dynamos discharging raw static into the surrounding peaks. This energy has mutated the local fauna into violent, electro-charged predators—most notably the infamous Lightning Squirrels—and warped the very landscape into a labyrinth of charged crystals and volatile storm-fog. Veteran adventurers are drawn here by the promise of lost Dwarven technology, but they will find themselves caught between two desperate factions fighting for control of the foundry's core, each with a claim to its salvation or its damnation.
Chronicle Prelude
You arrive at the besieged outpost of Far-Heath, a neutral logging camp on the fringe of the Static Wastes. The camp is a chaotic mix of refugees, mercenaries, and scavengers, all watching the perpetual lightning storm that dances across the Stormcliff peaks. The path forward is choked by the first wave of mutated wildlife and the palpable, hair-raising static in the air.
Environmental Traits
The Dwarven Power Foundry's core has become a reality-warping rift, discharging lethal static storms. The region is divided: the Reclamation Consortium wants to restart the foundry to power a new age, while the Purifiers seek to overload and destroy it to end the corruption. The players must navigate the charged wilderness, delve into the warping foundry, and decide the fate of Stormcliff before the rift tears the world asunder.
