The isolated druidic circle, the Verdant Wardens, believe the incense is the poison, accelerating the forest's death and angering its true guardian spirit. You arrive in a village on the edge, where sanity is a currency and the truth is buried under layers of fragrant smoke.

Chronicle Prelude

The town of Greatwood Village, a timber-built settlement at the forest's edge, perpetually wreathed in a sweet, sickly-scented smoke from the Guild's burners. Villagers speak of their nightmares in hushed, practical tones, accepting the incense as a necessary tax on sanity.

Environmental Traits
