The Golden Apple Tree, a source of life-sustaining fruit for the mortal realm below, has vanished from its sacred courtyard. Two factions lay claim to its restoration or control: the Sphinxes, who see it as a divine stewardship, and the Gilded Thorn Collective, a cabal of desperate druids and thieves who believe the apples' power must be distributed, not hoarded. Your party, hired as neutral arbiters, must navigate the floating archipelago, forage for clues, and decide the fate of the garden and those who depend on it.

Chronicle Prelude

The party arrives at the Sunken Dock, a rickety platform at the base of the lowest floating island. Above, the terraces of the Sky Garden are lush and overgrown, but silent. The air smells of ozone and rich soil. A delegation from the Sphinxes awaits, their leonine faces etched with worry.

Environmental Traits

The Golden Apple Tree has been magically uprooted and hidden. Its absence is causing the Sky Garden's celestial ley lines to destabilize, threatening to send the entire archipelago crashing down onto the city below. The crisis is one of survival and stewardship.

Omi the Sprite
A tiny, humanoid creature made of flickering candlelight and dewdrops. It flits through the air with gossamer wings that hum a soft melody. It appears curious and lonely, darting close to observe intruders before retreating. It is native to the wild magic zones of the Overgrown Terraces.
Caelen
A middle-aged human man with the calloused hands and sun-weathered face of a farmer. He wears simple, patched clothing and looks gaunt and exhausted. He carries a worn satchel. He is clearly out of his element, huddled in a safe niche, watching the magical chaos around him with a mixture of awe and terror.
Archivist Merope
