Two desperate factions wage a silent war beneath the canopy of a mutated forest: one seeks to preserve the miraculous, if monstrous, bounty at any cost; the other believes only by burning the corrupted roots can the land be saved. You are caught in the furrow, forced to choose whose vision will shape the future of this blighted, fertile hell.

Chronicle Prelude

The Hallowed Furrow: A walled farming commune, its thatched roofs and simple wooden structures a fragile bastion of normalcy against the encroaching, bioluminescent fungal overgrowth and the distant, grinding groans of the colossal vegetables. The air smells of loam, ozone, and fear.

Environmental Traits

A once-prosperous agricultural region transformed into a nightmarish, hyper-fertile zone where common flora has mutated into gargantuan, hostile lifeforms. The crisis is two-fold: the monstrous 'Garden' is expanding uncontrollably, and the two human factions, the Growth Wardens and the Ashen Purifiers, are locked in a bitter struggle over how to deal with it, dooming the region to perpetual conflict.

Feral Gardener Construct
A shambling humanoid shape made of woven, mutated straw and thick, thorny vines. Its head is a crude basket filled with twitching, root-like tendrils. It carries rusted, oversized shears and moves with jerky, purposeful intent, patrolling the Fieldrows.
The Broodmother-Carrot
A colossal, sentient carrot-tyrant rising from the soil of the Ziggurat. Its orange, ridged body is crowned with a writhing mass of green tendrils. Massive root-tentacles, each as thick as a tree trunk, erupt from the ground around it. Its 'face' is a pattern of darker lines that seems to shift with psychic intent.
The Luminous Mycelium
A large, intelligent fungal cluster with a bioluminescent cap that pulses with soft, psychic light. Its voice is a chorus of gentle, echoing whispers that resonate directly in the mind. It grows from the wall of the Sunken Greenhouse, surrounded by smaller, child-like fungal nodes.
Silas the Ember-Sight
A wiry, patient man in mottled grey and brown camouflage, his face wrapped in cloth. He carries a long, soot-stained rifle and wears a bandolier of incendiary rounds. He is often perched in a high vantage point among the beanstalks, motionless as stone.
Jorin, the Root Whisperer
A young Warden acolyte with dirt under his nails and leaves woven into his hair. He communicates in soft, sibilant tones with the giant mutated peas that guard his section of the Fieldrows. He looks anxious, constantly glancing at the sky as if expecting an attack.
