The ancient Silverwood is dying. What began as sporadic troll raids has escalated into a coordinated, savage onslaught, crippling the logging town of Pinewatch. Desperate for a solution, the town's Wardens have turned to a controversial partnership with the Thornwood Syndicate, a cabal of ruthless poachers and hedge mages. The Syndicate claims the trolls are being driven mad by a magical blight deep in the forest, and their 'snares' are the only thing holding the line. The Wardens, sworn to protect the wood, are now sanctioning its violation. Veteran players are thrust into a war where survival is purchased with compromise, and the line between protector and destroyer has vanished.

Chronicle Prelude

The fortified timber town of Pinewatch, a frontier settlement on the edge of the Silverwood. Smoke rises from a dozen watchfires, the scent of pine mingling with that of ash and fear. A pall of tension hangs over the muddy streets, where Wardens in green cloaks argue with rough-hewn Syndicate scouts over a crude map.

Environmental Traits

The Silverwood is experiencing an unnatural ecological collapse. The Troll Raids are a symptom, not the cause. A deep, corrupting magical resonance—a 'Snare' laid by an unknown hand—is agitating the forest's creatures and poisoning the ley-lines. The ultimate goal is to reach the heart of the corruption and decide the forest's fate, forcing a choice between two flawed futures.
