The Sloth Island Soporific Blockade
For centuries, Sloth Island has been shrouded in a perpetual, drowsy fog, its rivers choked by colossal, ancient sloths whose very breath exudes a soporific pollen. The island's two factions, the Indigenous Sloth-Keepers and the mainland Settlers, stand at an impasse: one seeks to preserve the sacred, sleep-inducing cycle, the other to break it at any cost for survival. Veteran players will find no easy heroes here, only desperate choices amidst the heavy, lethargic air.
Chronicle Prelude
The players arrive at the coastal settlement of Port Somnus, a weather-beaten town on the island's edge. The air is thick with the sweet scent of the Soporific Leaves, and the townsfolk move with a strange, languid urgency. A massive, groaning sloth blocks the main river mouth, its body draped in vines, forming the 'Water-Blockade' that halts all trade and escape.
Environmental Traits
The island is dying. The Settlers' crops fail, their children fall into unending slumber, and their ships cannot leave. The Sloth-Keepers warn that harming the Sloth or its grove will bring a cataclysmic 'Great Slumber' upon the world. Players must navigate this crisis to find a way through or a way to end the blockade, knowing every action has irreversible, drowsy consequences.
