They claim the Viscount's groom, Silas, embezzled the funds meant for their sacred griffon feed, leaving the beasts to starve. The Viscount denies it, branding the strike treason. Caught between a starving elite guard and a desperate lord, the truth is buried in ledgers and lies. You are the arbiters, called to the castle's base to restore order before the winter storms cut the mountain pass for good.

Chronicle Prelude

The fortified base camp at the foot of the winding mountain road to Castle Aeridor. Smoke rises from the besieged lower courtyards. Valerius's loyalists man the gates, while griffon riders circle the upper ramparts like vultures. The air is cold and tense.

Environmental Traits

The Viscount's griffon guard, the 'Sky Talons,' have locked down the aerial egress and supply lines. The castle is split: the lower bailey and keep are held by Valerius's household, while the upper aerie, rookeries, and treasury are under the griffon riders' control.
